DJ Dyllemma- Growing up in the shadow of the birthplace of hip-hop, DJ Dyllemma was exposed to the genre of music at a young age. Throughout his adolescence Dyllemma tapped into underground NYC classic radio mix shows such as the Stretch and Bobito Show, where he found the appreciation of hearing tracks that most of the world could not find. He spent his college years building his craft by practicing and studying the works of Pete Rock. Now a college graduate, Dyllemma has shared the stage with Non Phixion, Lil Sci and Vast Aire, was a regional competitor in the 08 DMC Battle, worked as assistant instructor at the Scratch DJ Academy, and has rocked night clubs throughout NYC all while maintaining the love for hip-hop; the soul purpose of continuation. |
Model Citizen- Matt Vanderlee is an MC with a decade of experience as an artist and musician. His work in music, visual arts, education, and the non-profit community can all be described as progressive hip-hop. In the past he has collaborated with the non-profit organization The Green Project to design, create and organize an event at a community center in post Katrina New Orleans. He continues to record new music and perform, while collaborating with NYC based non-profits like the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center and community involved businesses like Vox Pop. With these and other organizations, he has created art installations and organized events that are designed to be inclusive to the community, create a broader understanding of the art movement Hip Hop, as well as bring Brooklyn youth exposure to the arts and opportunities to perform themselves. |
